Lose fat. Gain freedom.

                        OVERHYPED SUBSTANCES

Nowadays, as the health supplements industry gains in competitiveness, companies are trying all ways and means to get ahead of the competition. And what better way to achieve this than to ‘discover’ a new miracle substance which promises to work wonders on your body?

Each year, new products are launched, supposedly containing newly discovered substances extracted from plants, trees, animals. Through clever marketing, these companies soon have the whole world believing that their ‘revolutionary breakthrough product’ can really deliver that amazing preventive or therapeutic effect. Sad to say, most of these claims are nothing more than unsubstantiated hype. However, because they are categorized as ‘dietary foods’, the FDA has no legal jurisdiction over them, and hence these unregulated products continue to flood the market, milking the population of their hard earned cash.

Here is a list of some of the most overhyped substances in the fat-loss market. Many will be familiar to you, and some may even be products that you’ve tried out before or are currently using. These are not complete scams, in the strictest sense of the word. ( Pyruvate, for example, does have some weight loss merit ). But generally, in my opinion, these products fail to live up their billing and fall far short of expectations. Either that, or the dosage required for that particular substance to yield positive results might be too large, thus causing it to be too expensive to be a viable alternative. In any case, you would be better advised to spend your money on other more worthy products.

The articles written in this section have been collected and collated from various credible sources  all over the world wide web. They are not the results of my own experiments or experience, nor do they reflect my personal opinion regarding these substances.
